    One of the great things about your wedding weekend will be seeing all of your friends and family.   • Just the Right Time

    Last weekend I attended a wedding as a guest. This is something I do maybe once every ten years, so I was quite surprised by the ceremony. I arrived at 5:45 p.m. for a 6 p.m. ceremony, with drinks and hors d'oeuvre around 7 then dinner maybe half an hour later. But, as the ceremony rounded the forty minute mark, I found myself wishing for an energy bar. Twenty minutes after that, the couple was, at last...married. The ceremony was an hour long!

    As any bride or grooms knows, marriage isn’t just about a union between two people. It’s also a union between two families. And even under the best of circumstances, there can be some difficulties with the merger. For example: the mother of groom thinks that the wedding should be held at her house by the lake and the mother of the bride thinks that’s maybe the stupidest idea she’s ever heard.
